In Memory of Virginia (Ginger) Waite Ruland

Virginia M. Ruland, 67, of Columbus passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born November 20, 1955 in Martinsville she was the daughter of Howard and Violet Furch Waite.  She married John Ruland and he survives.

Other Information

Virginia previously attended Cornerstone Church.

She grew up on a farm and enjoyed everything outdoors, especially camping and fishing.  She loved and collected frogs.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Virginia had a good sense of humor and always made people laugh.

Virginia is survived by children, Alicia Duncan (Michael Combs) of Columbus, Jarrod (Beth) Sizemore of North Vernon and Jennifer Sizemore (Jimmy Wiles) of Columbus; grandchildren, Dillon Sizemore, Austin Rice, Maria Wade, Angelina Wade, Timothy Nickell, Christopher Nickell, Rodney Sizemore, Taylor McSoley; three great grandchildren; siblings, Dale (Becky) Waite of Martinsville, Vern (Valerie) Waite of Freetown and Brenda Woolbright of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned for Virginia and a memorial service at Norman Funeral Home will be scheduled soon.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Norman Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Violet Waite; brothers, Leroy, Larry and Dick Waite; sisters, Barb Ford and Patricia Wade and one niece and two nephews.
